Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is another research based program I use to help children, teens and families move forward from traumatic experiences such as sexual abuse or witnessing or being the victim of violent or life threatening events. Play Therapy , Art Therapy, and interactive family activities are used to foster appropriate expression, self exploration, healing and growth. Play and art can allow children (as well as adolescents and adults) to express themselves more fully. It can help to expose and untangle their emotional landscape and behavioral patterns in order to help them process and make sense of their lives. My fees are on a sliding scale from $120 to $250 per 50 minute session. Invoices (superbills or receipts for services) are available upon request in order to submit "out of network" claims.
Clinical Supervision: Providing clinical supervision for Associate Clinical Social Workers (ASW) and Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFT) who are accruing clinical hours toward licensure.

I specialize in working with children and teens ages 2-18. I provide highly effective, evidenced based counseling in a warm and inviting environment. I'm currently offering in-person office and zoom or telehealth appointments. I offer practical strategies and activities to help children and families meet their goals and improve their lives. As a parent, I understand the worries and frustrations often associated with the enormous job of parenting. Parent participation is encouraged as this can result in better long term outcomes.
I have a wealth of experience including: working as a family reunification social worker for Child Protective Services; non-profit community based counseling services for low income children and families; and private practice child and teen counseling since 2012. Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is a program designed to address defiance in children by strengthening the parent-child relationship and giving parents research based parenting strategies that help children follow directions.
